"I strongly suspect that if we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers to God make, and all the people those little prayers were destined to affect, and all the consequences of those effects down through the centuries, we would be so paralyzed with awe at the power of prayer that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives."

Professor Peter Kreeft

“This world is filled with many vulgar and dishonorable things that will claw and tear at your Christian purity if you allow them to. Don’t let them! Seek instead the things of God. He will purify you and free you from your slavery to profane and inconsequential things.”
Patrick Madrid (author of A Year With The Bible)

“Modern society is in the process of formulating an ‘anti-Christian creed,’ and resisting it is punishable by social excommunication. The fear of this spiritual power of the Antichrist is therefore only too natural, and it truly takes the prayers of a whole diocese and the universal Church to resist it.”
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
Theologian, Professor, Author

"Be one of the small number who find the way to life, and enter by the narrow gate into Heaven. Take care not to follow the majority and the common herd, so many of whom are lost. Do not be deceived; there are only two roads: one that leads to life and is narrow; the other that leads to death and is wide. There is no middle way."

St. Thomas More (1478-1535) Lawyer, Devout Catholic, Defender of the Faith against Heresy (Protestantism), Beheaded (murdered) at the order of King Henry VIII of England; Patron Saint of Lawyers, Civil Servants, Adopted Children, Large Families

“The endurance of darkness is the preparation for great light.”
St. John of the Cross (1542-1591) Doctor of the Church, Writer, Reformer. Patron Saint of Mystical Theology, Contemplatives, and Contemplative Life

“We’ve been taught that God did not make the world for no reason, but for the sake of the human race. As I said before, he takes pleasure in those who imitate his attributes, and is displeased with those who embrace what is worthless, whether in word or deed.”
St. Justin Martyr (100-165) Philosopher; Orator; Patron Saint of Apologists, Speakers, Lecturer

Statistical Data / Quotes:

Total number of persons executed for committing a crime (after a convictions/appeals) in the U.S. - 1976 to 2023:  1,633 (as of July 2025)

Number of babies executed via surgical abortions since Roe V Wade ... in the U.S. alone (1973 - 2025): over  66,906,000
Note: Abortifacient-related deaths (due directly to use of contraceptive pill, IUD, RU-486, etc)  are not necessarily included in this number.
(DPIC, Counter, Guttmacher Insitute, NRLC )

About one third of all abortion clinics are located in two states: California and New York.

2013-2015, according to GAO reports, over $1.5 Billion of tax dollars were given to abortion providers (including Federal tax dollars, as well as Medicaid dollars which are sourced from both Federal and State funds).

Death By Government

National Socialist (Nazi) Persecution in Europe: "Ten thousand Poles were liquidated (murdered) in the first four months of the occupation. Seven hundred (700) Polish Catholic priests were shot (murdered), and at least 2,720 Catholic clergy were sent to Dachau, where most of them died at the hands of their Nazi captors. The majority of them perished slowly and methodically from medical experiments and starvation labor." (source)

Note: According to census information gathered prior to German aggression in the 1930's, the Polish population was mostly Catholic.

"It is estimated that at least 3,000 other Polish priests were sent to other concentration camps, including Auschwitz, while priests from across Europe were condemned to death and labor camps: 300 priests died at Sachsenhausen, 780 at Mauthausen, and 5,000 at Buchenwald. These numbers do not include the priests who were murdered en route to the camps or who died from diseases and exhaustion in the inhuman cattle cars used to transport victims. Several thousand nuns were also sent to camps or killed on the way." (source)

"By the end of the 12-year reign of Adolf Hitler in 1945, tens of millions of Catholics had died as soldiers, in forced labor, as civilian casualties in the fighting, or as victims in the gas chambers. Catholic churches, cathedrals, monasteries, convents, schools, universities, and monuments lay in ruins." (source)

20th Century Democide (death by government): " ... fifteen megamurderers have wiped out over 151,000,000 people, almost four times the almost 38,500,000 battle-dead for all this century's international and civil wars up to 1987. ... The most absolute Power, that is the communist U.S.S.R., China and preceding Mao guerrillas, Khmer Rouge Cambodia, Vietnam, and Yugoslavia, as well fascist Nazi Germany, account for near 128,000,000 of them, or 84 percent."
Note: These figures do not include the estimated 1.52 billion government-sanctioned abortions worldwide.

Forced Abortion - Families Suffering, Vulnerable Children Dying

Causes of Death - U.S.

"The leading cause of death in the United States, scientifically speaking, is abortion (over 1 million distinct human lives per year). It is also the most preventable leading cause of death." (source1)(source2)(source3) Graph
Note: The above estimate does NOT include all abortafacient contraception-related deaths nor IUD-related deaths of unborn persons.

“Some researchers (using very conservative figures) have calculated that birth control pills directly cause between 1.53 and 4.15 million chemical abortions per year in the United States - up to two and a half times the total number of surgical abortions committed every year!”
(Dr. Brian Clowes, PhD in Civil Engineering and Systems Science, Author and Researcher, Director of Education and Research at HLI)

"The leading cause of "untracked" unintentional injury death in the U.S.: Errors in hospitals ... "as many as 440,000 a year"" (Journal of Patient Safety )

"The leading cause of tracked accidental (unintentional injury) death in the United States is drug overdose (35,663 in 2012 and over 47,000 in 2014), followed by motor vehicle accidents (34,935 in 2012 and 33,736 in 2014) ... nearly one third of which involve intoxicated persons
... and falls (28,753 in 2012 and 31,959 in 2014).
" (CDC)
Intoxicated: A state in which a person's normal capacity to act or reason is inhibited by alcohol and/or drugs.

Law Enforcement Stats

"Criminologists ... have found that 70 to 75 percent of all murders in the United States are a result of “thieves falling out" (criminal on criminal murders / gang violence)” . (source)
"... Gangs are responsible for an average of 48 percent of violent crime in most jurisdictions, and up to 90 percent in others." (FBI)

FBI Definition: "...violent crime is composed of four offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. Violent crimes are defined in the UCR (Uniform Crime Report) Program as those offenses which involve force or threat of force."

"Gangs are increasingly engaging in non-traditional gang-related crime, such as alien smuggling, human trafficking, and prostitution. Gangs are also engaging in white-collar crime such as counterfeiting, identity theft, and mortgage fraud, primarily due to the high profitability and much lower visibility and risk of detection and punishment than drug and weapons trafficking. " (FBI)

" ... where legal gun ownership rates are highest in America, the homicide rates tend to be very low.
... It is criminals utilizing illegal guns who are committing most of the homicides (murders)." (2017)
(Frank Miniter, author, investigative journalist, contributor to Forbes)

Statistical Perspectives

In 2012, there were 8,855 murders* involving firearms; 8,124 in 2014 (a nearly 8% decrease). (FBI, FBI-2)
(*Justifiable homicides are not murders. CDC data differs and includes all homicides.)
In 2015, the numbers rose again, to 9,616 murders (still a much lower rate than those in the 1990's)
(Note: For the specific years cited above, the circumstances of approximately half of firearm-related murders are categorized "unknown" or "not specified".) (FBI)

In 2012, there were over 40,000 suicides in the U.S. That number rose to 42,773 in 2014, and over 44,190 in 2015. (CDC)

(Note: Some "gun death" statistics presented on internet sites will not differentiate between suicides by gun, justifiable homicides, accidental deaths, and murders. In some cases, all gun deaths will be given as a lump sum, with no explanations.
Mathematically and scientifically speaking, such "manipulated data" is rendered useless.)

Proven Solutions

".. States with more religious populations tend to have fewer homicides and fewer suicides. ... Religious practice serves as a significant buffer against drug abuse and juvenile delinquency."
"... Religious belief and practice are also associated with: Lower levels of many infectious diseases; Less violent crime; Less domestic violence."

" ... the available data clearly indicate that religious belief and practice are associated with: Higher levels of marital happiness and stability; Stronger parent-child relationships; Greater educational aspirations and attainment, especially among the poor; Higher levels of good work habits; Greater longevity and physical health; Higher levels of well-being and happiness ... "
(Patrick F. Fagan, Ph.D., Graduate Degree in Psychology, Ph.D. in Social Policy, Clinical Psychologist)

"Guns are used for self-defense between 2.1 Million and 2.5 Million times every year. ... Almost 10% of those self-defense cases are women defending themselves against sexual assault or abuse." (Kleck/Gertz Study, Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, 1995)

Using the current and statistically conservative self-defense estimates, every hour of every day in the United States, 33 persons successfully use a firearm as a justifiable (prudent) method of self defense. This valuable method of crime deterrence has been validated by law enforcement agencies, including the FBI.
Note: Actual numbers of legitimate self defense are likely much higher. When crime is deterred, police reports are not necessarily filed.

“Impartiality is a pompous name for indifference, which is an elegant name for ignorance.”
G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936) Author, Essayist, Historian, Journalist, Lay Theologian, Poet

“Not to oppose error is to approve it; and not to defend truth is to suppress it, and, indeed, to neglect to confound evil men—when we can do it—is no less a sin than to encourage them.”
Pope St. Felix III (?-492) Widower, Priest, Pope from 483-492 AD

“Unless the rest of us demand truth, the liars will be emboldened, their lies will snowball and nothing will ever work.”  (July 2017)
Ann Coulter  Lawyer, Syndicated Columnist, Author

"Why do you not understand what I am saying? Because you cannot bear to hear my word.  You belong to your father the devil and you willingly carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him.
When he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me."
John 8:43-46
